Philosophy
Today prayer seems like something that can be far out of reach. My goal is to put it in people’s hands so that it touches every aspects of their lives. When we incorporate our individual and respective experiences into the Jewish tradition, it becomes personal and it becomes meaningful. When I tutor your child for his or her bar or bat mitvah I will be helping them to begin learning about who they are and what their beliefs entail. It might be the first time in your child’s life where he or she has the freedom and the encouragement to explore aspects of his or her soul and personality that will inform the rest of their lives.
I want Judaism to be fun, meaningful and rewarding. When I do a wedding ceremony, I will want to know about who you are as a couple so that we can create rituals that express the sacredness of your union.

Rebekah is as natural and authentic songwriter as there can be. She can blend an idea or prayer with a riff so seamlessly that it seems like it was always like that. That's why it sticks with you've been singing Rebekah Mirsky songs for years – her words and melodies have become a healing and joyful part of my life.
